David Wu and I were brought together by our shared love of singing. Through music, we formed not only a partnership, but a lasting friendship. We both joined the Melody Chorus, where David served as President from 2014 to 2015, and I had the honor of serving as Vice President. During those years, we worked closely together and built a strong collaboration grounded in mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision for the chorus.
Under David’s leadership, Melody Chorus flourished. He was dedicated, thoughtful, and inspiring, always encouraging others to give their best. Together with many fellow members, we organized and participated in numerous meaningful activities and performances that created lasting memories and strengthened our community.
In 2017, David held a solo concert—a milestone that reflected his passion, talent, and commitment to music. I was deeply honored to be invited as a guest. That evening remains a vivid reminder of his artistry and the joy he brought to everyone through his voice.
David passed away on December 31, 2025. His loss is deeply felt. I miss him—not only as a fellow musician and leader, but as a friend. His music, his leadership, and his kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who sang with him and knew him. May his memory always be a melody that stays with us.
